Tehran: B.T.N.K., 1976. — 365 pages.The present work, publilshed here for the flrst time, is considered the oldest and the most reliab1e of the extant Perslan dictionaries after that of Asadi-e Tusi. The author, Mohammad ibn Hendusnāh-e Nakhjavāni, who also compiled the Dastūr'ol-Kāteb 1359 (760 a.H.), is the son of the author of
the Tajareb' os-Salaf.The words in the dictionary are arranged first accordlng to their last letter, and then according to their first letter. Beside lexical information, the work contains a wealth of quotations from the older Persian poets.
