Elsevier Supplement to the Dictionary of the Gas Industry: French, English, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Dutch, German

The Dictionary of the Gas Industry was published in 1961. From the outset it attracted marked interest amongst those concerned with gas and it may now be said that the success of this work has extended widely beyond specialist circles.
In spite of the care taken by everyone concerned with its preparation, production and checking it is not surprising that a few errors of fact crept into the text. It would also be surprising if some omissions had not been noticed; moreover, the very rapid development of the gas industry makes it desirable now to introduce into the dictionary certain terms which have come into common use. Enquiries have been made by the Dictionary Sub-Committee of the I.G.U. and it is the fruits of its work that we have the pleasure to present to you today.
